SeekArt presents Daniëlla Rossouw at Cape Town Jazz Club. The South African jazz vocalist, songwriter and educator returns home from Texas, where she has built an international career.
Daniëlla holds a master’s degree from the University of North Texas and received three DownBeat awards as a member of the UNT Jazz Singers. In 2026, she returned for the UNISA International Voice Competition, where she placed Runner-Up and received the award for Best Up-Tempo Swing Performance.
Blake Hellaby accompanied her at the competition and Kevin Gibson played her finals. That musical connection is the reason this evening exists.
Daniëlla is in South Africa to record an album of originals and standards. The musicians on the recording are the musicians joining her on stage:
Daniëlla Rossouw - vocals
Justin Bellairs - saxophone
Blake Hellaby - piano
Sean Sanby - bass
Kevin Gibson - drums
Expect originals from the forthcoming recording, beautifully interpreted standards and two sets from a studio-ready band.
