This is a performer you won't want to miss. Daniel James McFadyen has built his name the slow way, one room at a time, in a country that takes a long while to cross. The Nova Scotia songwriter has filled Toronto’s Great Hall and Halifax’s Marquee Ballroom on the strength of shows that work less like concerts than like conversations. He talks, the room talks back, and the songs land somewhere in the middle of it.At The Dream, all of that gets stripped to its frame. No barrier, no back of the house, nobody more than a few rows out.
The Glad I’m Dead Tour marks the beginning of a new chapter for Daniel, celebrating his anticipated new record, The Garden. Spanning only 13 dates across Canada, the tour is built as his most ambitious live show to date, featuring a carefully designed full-band production.
Following the success of his award-winning previous work, The Garden finds Daniel moving into a colder, dreamier and more nostalgic sound. The record explores rebirth, change and starting over, moving through love, loss, memory and the strange beauty of becoming someone new.
The Glad I’m Dead Tour brings that world to the stage — a limited run of shows built around the songs, stories and atmosphere of The Garden.
Joining McFadyen at The Dream is Kieran Campbell, a folk singer-songwriter based in Tofino, Canada, who draws from the rich songwriting traditions of Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt and John Prine to create modern folk classics. His latest EP, OK Buddy, was released in 2025, and he is currently writing new music set for release later in 2026.
