Her groundbreaking research provides a brilliant lens for the exhibition, exploring how women artists historically claimed their space in the avant-garde. Weyl’s acclaimed book, The Women of Atelier 17: Modernist Printmaking in Midcentury New York, highlights the nearly 100 trailblazing women who advanced modernism and feminism at NYC's legendary printmaking studio between 1940 and 1955.
