Dear Friends and Neighbors,Please join me for a community conversation about the Dane County budget. We’re facing a tough budget cycle with a $15 million structural deficit, but it is my priority to work towards a budget that supports all of our neighbors.

I’ll give a brief presentation, followed by an community discussion. Topics will include:
* Using surplus funds to address the deficit
* Priorities for health and human services
* Funding for a permanent memorial for officer-involved shootings in our neighborhood
* Rising health care costs
* Potential body cameras for the Dane County Sheriff
* Investments in the Affordable Housing Trust Fund
* Conservation fund spending
* Support for our nonprofit partners
* Dane County’s bond rating and future outlook
And any other topic that is on your mind.
