Dance with Me – Latin Dance WorkshopsMove, groove and have fun while learning the basics of Bachata!
Dance with Me is an introductory 4-week Latin dance program designed for beginners. No previous dance experience or partner is required — just come along, have fun and give it a go!
Each workshop will introduce you to the essential steps and rhythms of Bachata, while exploring ways to make your dancing more expressive with:
Basic Latin dance steps
Directional changes and variations
Arm and body movement styling
Musicality and finding the Latin beat
A fun introduction to partner dancing, time permitting
As the program progresses, you'll build on your skills and learn more step variations. By the end of the program, you'll be able to recognise the Latin rhythm, follow the beat and confidently dance along to Latin music independently.
When: Fridays, 9 October - 30 October
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Where: Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre
Cost: $40 for 4 weeks
Meet Camelia
Hola! I'm Camelia, and I'll be bringing Dance with Me to HBNC.
I'm passionate about Latin dancing and believe dancing is a fun and enjoyable way to move your body. For me, it has become part of my everyday wellness routine, and I'm excited to share my love and knowledge of Latin dance with you.
I also regularly organise free, family-friendly Latin dance social events around Hervey Bay, open to everyone.
Participants in the Dance with Me program are encouraged to come along to these social events to practise the skills they've learned in the workshops, meet other dancers and simply have fun!
Follow Bachata n Beach on Facebook for upcoming social dance events and updates.
