Dance For Earth transforms collective movement into collective action
from the physical body into direct environmental support.
A morning movement class & FUNdraiser benefiting local organizations that support our only home (Earth!).
Each event is by-donation and includes representatives from a different organization to share not only their dance (as class participants) but also inform initiatives that direct class takers towards the next most meaningful step in the San Diego/Tijuana area.
Each class is specifically themed based on the work each organization is doing for the environment through a one-hour, high-energy, integrative, guided experience.
All bodies and levels of movement practice are welcome. Expect physical tasks/coordinations, repetitions, witnessing (seeing and being seen), and play.
Donations are redistributed directly to these environmental organizations working in conservation, climate resilience, and urban ecology.
Class led by dance artist and somatic educator, Tess Collins (travelingbygroove.com)
