This Dance & Mental Health Workshop offers a powerful, integrative experience bringing together movement, psychotherapy and coaching
About this Event

This Dance & Mental Health Workshop offers a powerful, integrative experience that brings together movement, psychotherapy and coaching to support emotional wellbeing, resilience and self-expression. Designed for individuals seeking healing, insight and reconnection with their bodies, the workshop invites participants to explore movement as a pathway to mental, emotional and psychological transformation.

The workshop creates a safe, supportive environment where participants can process emotions, build confidence, develop self-awareness and engage in personal growth through embodied experience. No prior dance experience is required.

Facilitation & Expertise

The workshop is co-led by Jade Taussig, a highly qualified and accredited psychotherapist, coach and movement practitioner, alongside Syreeta Rose, founder of Dance Again. Syreeta brings nearly 20 years of dance experience, with specialisms in African Dance and extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals, older adults and people at the end of life. She is also an experienced Activities Coordinator, offering a compassionate, inclusive and adaptable approach to group facilitation.

Together, the facilitators combine clinical depth with creative expertise, ensuring sessions are both emotionally safe and creatively empowering.

Therapeutic & Clinical Foundations

The workshop draws on extensive experience supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. The approach is deeply trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based psychological practice.

Professional qualifications and training include:

  • UKCP accreditation
  • MA and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
  • EMDR qualification
  • Training in CBT, NLP and Coaching
  • Specialist training in Dance Movement Psychotherapy (Goldsmiths, University of London)

Movement & Embodied Practice

Movement sessions are informed by a rich and diverse dance and movement background, incorporating African Dance, Contemporary, Flamenco, Bollywood, Hip Hop and Jazz. This diversity enables participants to explore strength and softness, rhythm and stillness, grounding and emotional release in ways that feel authentic, accessible and empowering.

Additional martial arts experience, including Karate (black belt and red belt), Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, brings an added dimension of embodied confidence, boundaries and personal empowerment, supporting participants to feel stronger and more connected within their bodies.
