Dance for our Lives is a movement created with the intention to liberate the female body through dancing in nature. Every Sunday (9am) at Alston Park, we invite womb carriers of all ages and allies to join together as we create a safe space to dance along the trail for an hour. This is naturally a high-intensity somatic movement exercise, however, you can adjust the intensity based on your preferences. If you like salsa, tried Zumba class, or get grooving at raves, then you’ll definitely enjoy this power hour in nature!byod: bring your own device- bring your own smartphone or music player, and your favorite headphones/earbuds to get grooving to the beat of your own drum. Please download the latest version of Spotify if you would like access to the curated playlist (for a small donation fee), and trust me, between the afrobeats, Colombian pop, and salsa, you’ll be feeling the sweet sweet medicine and want more! If you’d like to listen to your own playlist, please feel free to do so!
We’ll meet at 9am and get started around 9:10 as the technology cooperates with the group.
