About this Event
Cycle Superpowers Workshop for tweens and parents with April McMurtry
This free community workshop is for 9-12 year olds who want to learn about the superpowers of the menstrual cycle because periods shouldn't be spooky! We will explore the seasons of the cycle and self-care practices in a creative way with a hands-on project and activity. There will be tea and treats!
This is ideally for tweens who have not started bleeding yet and want to feel more empowered to support each phase of their cycle once it arrives. Don’t miss out on this chance to get creative and learn about periods in a friendly, relaxed setting.
Who is leading this workshop? April McMurtry is a mom of two teenagers, a former classroom art and Spanish teacher, and a Peaceful Periods facilitator. She loves wildflowers, owls, and the moon!
