Jairus Sharif is a boundary‑pushing experimental jazz artist from Calgary whose raw, self-taught approach to alto saxophone, turntables, drums, and synths has quickly made him one of Canada’s most compelling new voices. Blending the freedom of avant‑garde jazz with the grit of hip hop, punk, and blues, Sharif’s music feels like a transmission straight from the subconscious—urgent, searching, and deeply human. Since releasing his breakout debut Water & Tools—longlisted for the 2023 Polaris Music Prize—Sharif has continued to evolve, most recently touring a new collaborative project with Montréal composer NPNP. His performances are immersive, improvisational journeys that channel personal history, emotional truth, and fearless sonic exploration.

Touching on the concepts of modern myth, offline living, ecology and alienation, Sechelt via Vancouver based "folk" singer Malcolm Jack has created a one of a kind world that is as inclusive as it is unique, allowing peers to peer into their own lives and environments with stunning magnification. Live, thru moments of drone, free improvisation, spoken poetry and a wealth of intricate tunings, Jack finds otherworldly plateaus for these most earthly creations.
