A practical, hands-on session in crisis decision-making, built specifically for South Yorkshire business leaders.About this Event
Everyone thinks they’re a great decision-maker - until they’re under pressure or intense scrutiny. When the stakes are high, the clock is ticking and information is incomplete, decision-making can look very different. This masterclass explores how to maintain clarity, prioritise effectively and make robust decisions when pressure is at its highest.
Delivered by Rebecca Chapman, Director of Maple Leaf Business Consulting, the session draws on more than 30 years of operational leadership and critical decision-making experience as a former senior police commander and trained firearms and CBRN Silver Commander. Delegates will explore the psychology of decision-making under pressure before being introduced to the CLEAR Decision-Making Model, a structured framework adapted from national emergency-services practice.
The session will culminate in a live, evolving crisis scenario relevant to manufacturing and engineering, where attendees will work in small groups to apply CLEAR as new information emerges. Leave with a practical, repeatable model and take-home templates for decision recording, communication and incident logging.
