About this Event
Cut with Confidence Intensive: Circular Saws, Jigsaws & Oscillating Multi-Tools
Short Summary
Learn circular saws, jigsaws, and multi-tools safely in a hands-on, 3-hour intensive with Canadian Handywoman.
Main Event Description
Does the thought of pulling the trigger on a power saw make you hesitate or second-guess yourself? You are not alone, and you are not behind.
Most women were never actually shown how to use power saws in a way that builds real confidence. So big projects get put off, cuts get left to someone else, and custom DIY projects feel out of reach.
Join Tammy Watson—founder of Canadian Handywoman and Home & Farm editor for Harrowsmith—for an empowering, 3-hour hands-on intensive designed to take you from nervous to completely capable. Designed by women, for women, this session gives you the time, space, and support to get your hands on the saws, try things out, and build real skill—not just watch someone else do it.
No pressure, no rushing, and no one taking the tools out of your hands. Because once you stop fearing power saws, your project possibilities completely open up.
🛠️️ Saws We Will Cover & Practice
- The Circular Saw: How to make straight, clean rip and cross-cuts, adjust blade depth and bevel angles, and guide the saw safely without kickback.
- The Jigsaw: How to choose the right blade for curves vs. straight lines, control speed, and cut shapes or detailed openings effortlessly.
- The Oscillating Multi-Tool: How to use flush-cut blades for baseboards, trim, drywall, and tight-space detail work where bigger saws can't fit.
💡 What You’ll Learn & Practice
