Cut Shape Collaborate | An Intergenerational Collage Workshop
Join us at Lucky Cat Gallery in Downtown LA on September 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM for a super fun collage workshop! Whether you choose to collaborate with a partner or work solo, the creative freedom is all yours.
Using a vibrant assortment of colored paper, scissors, and glue, you can create funky abstract portraits or anything your imagination dreams up. This simplified art-making process invites you to play, experiment, and surprise yourself.
All skill levels are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Everything you need is provided, and best of all, you’ll leave with your artwork beautifully framed by our crew.

🕑: 01:00 PM - 01:15 PM
Participants arrive, pick a seat, and receive the workshop overview.
Host: Michael Vargas
Info: Once everyone has joined the workshop, a brief introduction and overview will begin that will cover best practices and basic ground rules.
🕑: 01:15 PM - 02:15 PM
Participants work in pairs or alone on their collages.
Info: Once the workshop begins, feel free to work in pairs or fly solo. This is the time to let your imaginations run free. We'll be keeping track of the time and giving reminders every 15 minutes.
🕑: 02:30 PM - 03:00 PM
After final touches framing begins.
Info: Participants are encouraged to finish their work by 2:30 so we can frame everyone's work of art and leave time for photos. The class is over at 3 p.m.
