If you love DIY projects and enjoy creating holiday décor, this hands-on class is for you. In this jam-packed, 9-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to transform your home into a Christmas winter wonderland. The class is taught by Gloria Lester, owner, educator, and lead designer of Custom Christmas Designs. For more than 30 years, she has designed staircase garlands, mantels, entryways, and decorated trees for some of the finest homes in Greater Atlanta.
Class details:
Morning Session: Learn product anatomy, mechanics, and a bit of simple math. You’ll explore design, construction, attachment, andlayering techniques used to create balanced, aesthetically pleasing designs for CCD clients’ homes.
Afternoon Session: Explore the art of luxury layering, lighting, and embellishment, includingvolumizing, maximizing, and ribbon construction. You’ll finish with a hands-on opportunity to apply what you’ve learned.
Class runs from 9 AM to 6 PM. Please bringyour lunch; beverages will be provided. You’ll also need your DIY tool kit, including ribbon scissors, wire cutters, a glue gun, and gluesticks. Nitrile gloves are optional for those withsensitive skin.
