Meet Our Curious Creatures! This summer, as part of our Summer Reading Club, we invited children to let their imaginations run wild and dream up a sea creature that could survive in the deepest, darkest depths of the ocean.
At the end of the summer, we collected all of the wonderful drawings and handed them over to our Creature Committee, a talented group of library board members. With a little help from local community creators and children from our after-school program, those imaginative drawings were brought to life as amazing, one-of-a-kind sculptures!
Now, we’re excited to share these Curious Creatures with our community. Come celebrate with us at our family-friendly launch party on Monday, October 26, from 6–8 pm at the library.
Free Family Fun Includes:
• Music by Erik & Rad of Big Love Band
• Storytelling with Nesa7 Thomas Williams
• Snacks and door prizes
• An exciting first look at the Curious Creatures!
Bring the family, spark your imagination, and come meet the creatures that live in the deepest depths of our imaginations!
Can’t make the launch? The creatures will be on display at the library October 26–November 30.
Everyone Welcome. Registration not required!
