Join Senior Curator Anna Briers for an opening-day introduction to Len Lye: Energies, the largest exhibition of Lye’s work to date, unfolding across the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and Len Lye Centre. Spanning six decades, the exhibition brings paintings, batiks, experimental films and kinetic sculptures into conversation with drawings and material from the Len Lye Foundation archive. It also marks the much-anticipated return of Trilogy (A Flip and Two
Twisters).
Moving through the exhibition, Anna will introduce key works and the curatorial thinking behind their presentation, offering a closer look at Lye’s enduring fascination with energy and the forms he imagined it might take.
