Pablo Castillo always brings his Syncopators whenever he performs his 1920s and 1930s jazz at the Culture Cocktail. Now what is it that a Syncopator does, you may ask? Well, a syncopation is a “placement of rhythmic stresses or accents where they wouldn’t normally occur”. The Syncopators, in other words, play music that’s full of surprises.
