This September we're celebrating our second harvest festival of Mabon - Autumn Equinox. Night and day are equal at the equinox and this date marks the beginning of Autumn.
To celebrate we will be encasing our harvests, whether that’s making tasty pies, delicious pasties, or scrummy dumplings. We would love it if you could bring and share food for the feast if you can - it doesn’t have to be homemade, and it doesn’t have to be a lot!
Teens and adults can enjoy our seasonal crafting tables, including making apple bird feeders, plus our seed swap activity – if you would like to join in bring what you would like to share, and either come away with something you needed, or something completely new to grow next spring.
One of the common plentiful harvests at this time of year is apples, which will be inspiring many of our children’s sensory and role-play activities, from themed tray and apple paint stamping, to pretend pie making and colouring in, there will be many hands-on activities for your little ones to enjoy too.
Culture Club is a monthly event that involves food, crafts, and arts and are themed around seasonality and culture.
They are FREE to attend for Village Hub Members who live in Stoke and Morice Town.
Donations are welcome from visitors who live in other areas.
