About this Event

About This Event

As autumn settles in, the garden undergoes a quiet transformation. Plants' seeds are ripening, leaves are changing into vibrant colors, and the garden is preparing for its shift into winter dormancy.

Join the Cultivate & Create Youth Garden Club for our November meeting as we explore these seasonal changes up close! Children and youth will take a guided journey through the garden to discover how plants prepare for winter, collect ripening seeds, and learn about the natural lifecycle of the plants that sustain our environment.

What We’ll Do
  • 🍂 Garden Nature Walk: Observe changing leaf colors and learn why plants shed their leaves for winter.
  • 🌱 Seed Harvest & Exploration: Search for, identify, and collect mature seeds from fall plants.
  • 🔎 Hands-On Learning: Discover what "dormancy" means for plants and soil during the colder months.
  • 🎨 Creative Activity: Participate in a fun, fall-themed garden project to take home!
