What is a Crow Party??
It is a FREE monthly gathering at FAS where you can trade pretty much any items with your community! We encourage everyone to wear black clothing or costumes to fit the vibe 🙂
We will have trading tables set up on the first floor and basement of FAS. Tables are set out for people with many things to trade or for those who cannot stand/go down stairs. Seats at tables are first come first serve. We encourage people to bring some sort of containers to carry their trinkets to all the different tables and with others you meet along the way! Get creative and decorate your trinket container 🙂
We have a costume contest where 1 adult (18+) and 1 child win a trinket box/basket/bag with trinkets inside! There is no need to register, we have a judge that will silently choose the winners. The two winners will be announced at 2pm on the first floor of FAS!
Crow Party Rules:
1. Be Respectful- If someone declines a trade you can make another offer, but if they still say no please respect their decision and try trading with another person! There is no shortage of trinkets!
2. Be Courteous- There are a limited amount of seats at trading tables so please leave those spots for those who physically need them. We also strongly encourage people to not sit at their table the whole time so that you get to see all of the cool trinkets at others' tables/ other floors of the building.
3. Be Aware- If you bring children to the Crow Party, which we strongly encourage, please make sure you or another adult accompanies them while trading. It is a busy weekend downtown and we don't want anyone getting lost!
This is a family friendly event so we ask that your items to trade reflect that.
Trading Items We Do Not Allow
-Fragile/Large items like TVs, mirrors, etc.
-Weapons, including small pocket knives and "brass" knuckles
-Absolutely NO DRINKS. Handmade food is okay as long as you follow the conditions below..
CONDITIONS:
-Exact wording on the label must be printed as follows - "Made in a home kitchen that has not been inspected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development."
-Font size must be at least 11-point type (roughly 1/8 inch tall).
-The Label must be printed, or handwritten very clearly with permanent marker or ink, in a color that clearly contrasts with the label background.
