The timed contest begins at 5:30pm sharp! Teams of two will race to complete all three puzzlesCompete by yourself, bring a friend, or join up with a new teammate at the event. Conquer all three puzzles and earn some serious bragging rights!
All teams will be provided with an identical set of three crossword puzzles (one "easy" and two "medium" difficulty). Finishing first doesn't guarantee a win! Puzzles will be scored for accuracy and winners will be announced by the following Tuesday on the Library's Facebook page.
The scoring method is based on the official American Crossword Puzzle Tournament (ACPT) scoring rules, with points awarded for correct words, fully complete and correct puzzles, and bonus points based on solution time.
Come back for more! Crossword competitions will be held on the 4th Thursday of every 3rd month except December, scheduled for December 17 due to winter holidays. This event takes place in the Main Library.
