MARK YOU CALENDARS!Croix by Candlelight, on Saturday January 30th, 2027, will be a fun-filled family and community event of activities, campfires, and chili!
Formally known as "Candlelight Hike and Ski" this event is not snow dependent. While the addition of snow would allow for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, this event is a go regardless of the amount of snow!
What the evening will look like:
- Parking will be available at the RCU at Day Croix, located at 345 Riverview Dr.
- Chili, coffee, and hot chocolate, for an optional donation, will be served inside the RCU alongside live music from Croix alumni, Will Bauermeister!
- The RCU will serve as our warming and hangout lodge throughout the evening.
- Hudson Hot Air Affair will have a hot-air balloon basket at the event and do demonstrations!
- The yurt is located on the east side of the RCU, where skis and snowshoes will be available.
- From the yurt, you'll get a map of our candlelit trails. One of the routes leads to Explorers Point, which offers a beautiful view of the river.
*You’re welcome to bring your own skis and/or snowshoes if you prefer
