Ready to build on your crochet skills? You learned the single crochet stitch in Intro to Crochet, and now it’s time to learn how to crochet in the round!Participants will choose between creating a cozy beanie or a basket, select their yarn color, and choose the appropriate hook for their project. Along the way, learn how to read a simple crochet pattern and practice the techniques needed to begin working in the round.
Choose to create a beanie in your preferred size or a small or medium basket. Yarn, a crochet hook, and a color-printed pattern are included, and participants will take home everything they need to continue working on their project after class. By the end of class, you'll have new skills to continue your crochet journey at home and, hopefully, leave even more hooked on crochet. Pun intended!
Project sizes will vary based on the project selected. Participants are welcome to bring a notepad and pen for taking notes. All other supplies are provided.
Prerequisite: This class is designed for those with prior crochet experience. Participants must have completed Intro to Crochet at 577 or have equivalent experience.

Community Instructor: Annie Johnson
Annie grew up in an Arts & Crafts household, learning to crochet at 7 and knit at 14. She has honed most of her knowledge through trial and error, observation, and decades of repetition. She has been teaching for over 10 years and loves to share the joy of fiber crafts with anyone interested, from preschool to retired. Her favorite parts of teaching are witnessing a student's ah-ha moment and seeing them explore the hobby in their own way.
