Cristela Alonzo grew up dirt-poor in Texas, but she can laugh about it now. In fact, she makes her living making other people laugh about it. The comedienne’s third stand-up special is streaming on Netflix. It’s called Upper Classy and was preceded by Lower Classy and Middle Classy. We sense a pattern here. She created and starred in her own sitcom, Cristela, guest hosted on The View, and wrote a memoir, Music to My Years: A Mixtape Memoir of Growing Up and Standing Up. She’ll be standing up and doing stand-up in Jaeb Theater. Tickets go on sale to the public on Nov. 21.
