Hello Capital Area First Responders and Stakeholders!The Capital Area CIT Council is hosting a 40 hour basic CIT training! This curriculum is designed for front line responders to be able to identify a mental/behavioral health crisis, de-escalate situations involving mental health crises, refer to appropriate interventions and resources and much more! This is not the 8 hour concepts course that is offered in the academy setting and is tailored for those who have field experience:
-Police
-Fire
-EMS
-Dispatch
-P&P
-Court staff
-Detention and corrections
-Hospital/Medical workers
-Mental Health Professionals
-Social service agencies/providers (private and government)

PLEASE NOTE: A class will not be held this year in Jefferson City. This was due to World Cup taking place during our normally scheduled Jeff City class. This will be the last CIT Class offered by our council this year.
