Is your credit preventing you from obtaining a job, making a large purchase, or securing stable housing? This Credit Counseling workshop may be for you!
This is a free (virtual) two-hour workshop to help you improve and understand your credit standing and ultimately help get your finances on track as we provide information, resources, and financial literacy training that are necessary to correct and/or improve your financial standing and gain financial stability.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will:
- Receive a copy of your credit report
- Learn how to read and understand your credit report
- Understand why a credit report is needed for financing and how it can effect your spending
- Learn what items impact your credit score rating and how to use them to your benefit
- Learn about the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act
- Find ways to improve your credit score
To join our next workshop, please complete and submit the following registration form at least 24-hours before your selected workshop date.
Once this form has been submitted, be sure to check your email for a digital confirmation, as well as additional follow up and important information from a ULMS Housing Department staff member.
If you have any additional questions or need assistance completing your registration, please feel free to contact Richard Woodard via [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you soon!
