Join us for an extraordinary evening as we take a metaphysical journey into the Lower World—an immersive inner experience that may feel similar to a guided meditation, yet is designed to invite a deeper energetic, symbolic, and intuitive experience.
As the lights dim and the outside world becomes quiet, we’ll journey beyond the veil into a mysterious landscape where Hades will symbolically meet us at the threshold, opening the doorway to an exploration of light, shadow, and the mythological creatures that have fascinated humanity for thousands of years.
Why have cultures across the world created stories of creatures that are breathtakingly beautiful—and others that frighten us?
Perhaps these beings represent something much closer to us than we realize.
Creatures of Light & Shadow
We’ll explore mythological creatures of Light & Wonder such as the Phoenix, Selkies, and Faeries, alongside beings of Shadow & Mystery such as Medusa, Sirens, and the Banshee.
Rather than spending the evening studying their history, we’ll explore what these creatures can reveal about the human experience and our own shadow work.
The Phoenix reminds us that we can rise again.
The Selkie can represent our longing to return to our authentic nature.
The Faerie awakens wonder, curiosity, and our relationship with mystery.
Medusa invites us to explore wounds, protection, rage, and personal power.
The Sirens become a mirror for temptation, desire, attraction, and the things that can pull us away from our inner knowing.
And the haunting Banshee invites us to explore grief, loss, fear, and the parts of ourselves or our lives we may hesitate to face.
Our shadows aren’t simply something to fear. Sometimes what makes us uncomfortable carries something important for us to discover.
Journey Into the Lower World
Once we are comfortable, we’ll begin our guided metaphysical journey.
Allow the experience to unfold without deciding beforehand what you should encounter.
Will something luminous appear?
Will something from the shadows have something to show you?
What does the creature represent?
And most importantly—what might it be reflecting back to you?
The evening will include shadow-work teachings, mythological symbolism, guided journeying, journaling and reflection, a ceremonial fire release, and a mystical oracle experience.

Come as a Creature of Light or Shadow!
You’re invited to arrive as your favorite mythological creature of Light or Shadow.
Keep it simple with a mask, crown, wings, makeup, or one special accessory—or completely transform yourself with an elaborate head-to-toe creation.
Costumes are encouraged, but never required.
Just remember that we’ll want to become comfortable for our journey, so choose something you can easily remove, adjust, or relax in when it’s time to travel beyond the veil.
Bring a journal and pen and your favorite blanket or pillow if you’d like. Yoga mats and eye pillows will be available.
Sometimes we discover our light by having the courage to meet what waits in the shadows.
Come curious. Come playful. Come mysterious.
Come ready to journey beyond the veil.
About the facilitator:
Shannon Davis (Apu) is a shaman & medicine woman of the Peruvian (Inca) Q'ero shaman lineage & hospice nurse with a RN degree, and certifications in Reiki and vibrational energy healing techniques.
Born a natural intuitive, clairvoyant and emotional empathic healer. Shannon follows her passion in assisting others to step into their own power and healing.
Shannon has been the guest speaker for several healing conventions; a speaker for live radio and pod cast interviews and magazine articles. Her goal is to bring light and love to the world she lives in and touch everyone she Meets with beauty to inspire them to find their path of healing.
Shannon uses her skills to work with clients and assist them with healing on an emotional , mental, spiritual and physical levels. She works individually with clients in shamanic healings and as a life and business coach consultant with the medicine wheel technique. She is the Head teacher at Chacana and directly works with every Mesa student in an apprenticeship for 2 years to assist them into their highest and best healing.
Shannon is the owner of The Chacana Spiritual Center in Melbourne Florida. A healing center focused on mental, spiritual, emotional and physical health; wellness and education for the community.

Tickets are nonrefundable but are transferable to another class taught by the same teacher if the Chacana Spiritual Center is notified 24 hours or more prior to the start of the event/class. Please call the Chacana Spiritual Center at 321.610.3406 and leave a message. We will get back to you via text, email, message, or phone as soon as possible.
