Your monthly jolt of creative connection is just around the corner! Whether you’re a designer, developer, dancer, doodler, or just creatively curious, there’s a spot saved with your name on it.This month, we are gathering at the Urban Abbey downtown to explore the global theme of Devotion. Creativity is often portrayed as a lightning bolt of inspiration, but most creative work is toiled over and tended to page by page, rehearsal by rehearsal, and brushstroke by brushstroke. In a world constantly competing for our attention, devotion invites us to ask: where do we place our attention, our love, and our time? Devotion lives in what we tend to with care—our creative practices, our meaningful work, and each other. It’s not loud, but steady; not rigid, but rooted.
Taking the mic is Peter Karanja—Executive Director of All People’s Pantry, pastor at Omaha Maplewood United Methodist Church, and a dedicated community builder who has served refugees and migrants across the globe. Peter will be sharing stories and insights on showing up for our communities, the daily rituals of our work, and what it means to keep the faith through every season. Plus, as always, we’ll be kicking off the morning with a live performance by a local featured artist!
Expect hot coffee, breakfast, grounded energy, and a guaranteed dose of inspiration to kick off your morning.
