In partnership with Humanities Washington, join author Tara Campbell for a workshop that uses ekphrasis, a form of writing in response to another work of art, as a lens for creative world-building. Learn how close looking can act as a pathway into writing as you explore Frye Salon + Jonathan Lasker, then ‘paint a picture with words’ through guided prompts and discussion.
Often associated with speculative fiction, world-building is a practice shared across all genres: every writer creates a world every time they write—and now you can too!
