About this Event
This 2 hour session (with a break) will be led by The Craft House’s creative writing tutor, Alyson Faye *.
Alyson has a number of years of experience as a tutor, writer, editor and indie press publisher, Black Angel Press.
These drop-in workshops are suitable for beginners, and for those who have started writing, whether that’s poetry, prose or memoir, and would like to take it further.
The emphasis at these sessions is on having fun, meeting like-minded creatives, finding your writing feet and progressing your work.
All the exercises/discussions are tutor-led, with resources and prompts being provided by the tutor. Just bring your notepad or laptop.
There will be an opportunity to share your work with the group if you wish, work in pairs, receive some feedback from the tutor during the workshop, and look at taking your work forward with editing tips and submission advice.

She was a judge for this year’s Saltaire Festival Poetry Competition.
