Therapeutic creative writing may be something that you have engaged with by keeping a journal, writing letters, or putting feelings into words in any form. It is a useful tool for both mental and physical health and is being used increasingly in healthcare and therapeutic settings.This one-hour experiential workshop with Dr Claire Williamson will include a brief introduction on therapeutic writing and its potential, followed by a verbal warm up, and an exercise responding to poetry in our own words, with optional sharing in small groups, and Q&A.
