Program Description
Take another look. There is always more to discover.
Double Play! is a special mash-up of MoA+L’s Creative Play + Cocktails and the Beach Museum of Art’s Double Take, a gallery-based conversation designed to help viewers slow down, look closely, and discover more than first meets the eye.
This adults-only evening brings together art exploration, creative play, live music, drinks, and conversation in the relaxed setting of Café Azul.
Create a Surrealist-inspired collaged postcard or notecard using the work and image of Pablo Picasso as inspiration. No art experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and be ready to play. At 6 p.m. (get a little more context with a FREE 20-minute gallery tour and conversation in Picasso: Line and Lens, led by Kristy Peterson, VP or Learning, Engagement and Visitor Experience.
Enjoy live music before and after the conversation, perfect your collage, and explore original artwork throughout MoA+L’s fine art gallery after hours.
Includes one drink ticket, snacks, art materials, live music, and access to the digital and fine art galleries on floors two and three.
