Creative NonsenseShowcase Event: October 17, 2026 | 5:00–9:00 PM
Exhibiting October 17 – November 14, 2026
Open Call for Artists: Now - Oct 8th, 2026
What happens when creativity stops trying to make sense?
Dandelion Gallery & Studios invites you to experience Creative Nonsense, an exhibition celebrating humor, absurdity, imagination, experimentation, and the unexpected. This is a space where strange ideas are welcome, rules can be bent, and artists are encouraged to create simply because an idea is funny, clever, ridiculous—or too interesting not to explore.
Art does not always need a serious explanation. Sometimes creativity begins with a joke, a random thought, an unusual combination, or the question, “What if?” A familiar object can become completely unfamiliar. An ordinary situation can become absurd. Something that appears ridiculous at first glance can reveal a surprisingly clever idea underneath.
Through visual art, sculpture, mixed media, photography, installation, performance, video, written work, and unconventional forms of creative expression, artists are invited to play with perspective and challenge what we expect art to be.
Creative Nonsense embraces work that makes us laugh, look twice, think differently, or simply wonder what exactly we are looking at. From satire and visual jokes to surreal concepts, bizarre combinations, playful experiments, and art that refuses to explain itself, the exhibition celebrates the freedom to create without everything needing to have a perfectly sensible answer.
Because sometimes the most interesting ideas begin when we stop asking whether they make sense.
Come curious. Expect the unexpected. And embrace a little nonsense.
