About this Event

Creative Living: A Community Conversation Series

How Creative Expression Helps Us Feel Less Alone

Join the Lewiston Council on the Arts for a monthly gathering exploring creativity, connection, and meaningful conversation. Guided by Vera V. Chapman, Ph.D., each session centers on themes such as identity, joy, change, intuition, and belonging through short readings, reflection, and discussion. Open to all—artists and non-artists alike—these welcoming gatherings invite participants to slow down, share perspectives, and explore creativity as a way of living more thoughtfully and intentionally.
November Conversation

Creative Living: How Creative Expression Helps Us Feel Less Alone

Date: Monday, November 2nd

Time: 1-2 pm

Creativity often begins within us, but it does not have to stay there. When we share stories, images, questions, memories, ideas, or expressions of meaning, creativity can become a bridge between ourselves and others. In this conversation, we’ll explore the relationship between creativity, connection, and belonging. Through short readings, guided reflection, and small-group conversation, we’ll consider how creative expression helps us be seen, hear one another more deeply, and recognize shared human experience. Together, we’ll look at how creativity can strengthen community, invite vulnerability, and remind us that we are not alone in what we notice, feel, imagine, or carry.
