Creative Living: A Community Conversation Series

Exploring Who We Are Becoming Through What We Notice, Choose, and Create

Join the Lewiston Council on the Arts for a monthly gathering exploring creativity, connection, and meaningful conversation. Guided by Vera V. Chapman, Ph.D., each session centers on themes such as identity, joy, change, intuition, and belonging through short readings, reflection, and discussion. Open to all—artists and non-artists alike—these welcoming gatherings invite participants to slow down, share perspectives, and explore creativity as a way of living more thoughtfully and intentionally.

Creative Living: Exploring Who We Are Becoming Through What We Notice, Choose, and Create

Date: Monday, September 28th

Time: 1-2 pm

As we continue exploring creative living, we may begin to notice that creativity is not only about what we make. It can also shape how we understand ourselves. In this conversation, we’ll explore the relationship between creativity, identity, and becoming. Through short readings, guided reflection, and small-group conversation, we’ll consider how our creative lives are influenced by the stories we carry about who we are, who we have been, and who we are allowed to become. Together, we’ll look at how creativity can help us soften old labels, reconnect with forgotten parts of ourselves, and make room for new expressions of who we are becoming.
