About this Event
an invitation:
Join us for a full day of reflection and creativity, hand stitching at the beautiful Launde Abbey.
Take some time out to pause and be still, as you find the space to honour loved ones in the lead up to Christmas. You will be guided and encouraged to make some commemorative objects to treasure. No sewing experience is necessary.
Consider staying overnight before or after the 12th, or just come for the day.
Email Angela on [email protected] for further information. www.arttherapyconnect.co.uk
Angela is an artist and art psychotherapist, with a special interest in illness, loss and bereavement. The Christmas period can be a painful time for many as we remember loved ones who will no longer be sitting with us around the table. This workshop will give us the opportunity to create something precious and so remember and honour their memory and legacy.
Angela will gently guide you through the process. As mentioned, no sewing experience is necessary. A fee of £79 includes the Launde Abbey fee per person, unlimited tea and coffee, and home-made cake. It also includes a 15-minute zoom or video call with each participant prior to the day, to discuss the inclusion of personal materials, so that the day is as meaningful as possible for you.
Angela will be providing needles, threads, some vintage and botanically dyed fabric, as well as some other embellishments to use on the day.
This is not a therapy group, but a gentle, creative, inclusive and supportive space. Only 8 places available.
