Creative Connect: How to Get Your Work Out ThereWednesday 18 November | 5pm–7pm
ART POST, 22 Channon Street, Gympie
Making great creative work is one thing. Getting it out into the world, finding your audience and creating opportunities is another!
Join Creative Arts Gympie Region for Creative Connect, an evening of conversation, inspiration and connection exploring how artists and creatives can get their work out there.
Whether you're a visual artist, musician, performer, maker or creative practitioner, this is an opportunity to hear from people working across the creative industries, share experiences, ask questions and connect with others in the local creative community.
What's happening?
Launch of the Creative Arts Gympie Region Strategy – discover the vision and priorities for supporting and growing our local creative sector.
A chat with Mik and Kim McCartin from Rag Tag Studios – hear about their creative journey, experiences and insights.
Panel discussion: How to Get Your Work Out There – practical insights and an open conversation about building audiences, finding opportunities, promoting your work and navigating the creative industries.
Our panel brings together perspectives from across the arts:
Mik and Kim McCartin – Rag Tag Studios, bringing a music industry perspective.
Dr Sharon Hogan – RASN Advisor, Jute Theatre and Perseverance Street Theatre Co, sharing insights into theatre and performing arts.
TBC, exploring opportunities and pathways in the visual arts.
The evening kicks off at 5pm with music, a bar and snacks provided, giving you time to mingle and connect before the conversation begins.
Come along, meet your creative community, and be inspired with collaboration and ideas.
Everyone working in, interested in or supporting the arts and creative industries is welcome.
