Creative Action for Reproductive HealthPresented by The UWM C21 Reproductive Justice Working Group
Thursday, November 5
6–8pm
Auditorium 160
How do the arts inspire reproductive action? Local artists and panelists offer responses to this question and interrogate how artistic practice can inspire personal healing, advocacy, and educational insight. Drawing on the artistic narratives portraying infertility and reproductive loss featured in the exhibit In a State of IF, this panel identifies creative responses that foster community awareness and action around reproductive health. In a State of IF co-curator Maria Novotny and Kristiana Perleberg, a member of the C21 Reproductive Justice Working Group, will moderate the event. This event is sponsored by UW-Milwaukee's C21 Reproductive Justice Working Group in partnership with In a State of IF.
Pre-Reception, 5–6pm: A light reception will be held outside the exhibit from 5–6pm, sponsored by the League of Women Voters – Milwaukee County. All are welcome to join us for refreshments, conversation, and an opportunity to view the exhibit before the panel begins at 6pm.
