About this Event
Take part in this interactive workshop designed to help you create a healthier, more resilient garden while protecting local biodiversity.
Learn how to identify common invasive plants and insects found in Vaughan, distinguish them from native species and beneficial insects, and discover environmentally responsible ways to manage garden pests.
Toward the end of the session, participants are welcome to join us on a guided species identification walk and take part in a hands-on invasive species removal activity, gaining practical skills they can apply in their own yards.
This event is free for folks of all ages to attend. Space is limited, so register to reserve your spot.
Please bring:
- Closed-toe footwear and weather-appropriate clothing (this event will be held rain or shine)
- Gardening gloves if you have them (if not, we have lots of extras!)
- A filled reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
- Sunscreen
- Bugspray

The event is taking place at Kortright Centre for Conservation (9550 Pine Valley Dr.) Free onsite parking is available. Please let gate staff know that you are there to attend the City of Vaughan's workshop.
