About this Event
In this writing workshop, Katrina will lead children through a series of short, fun activities designed to develop a well-rounded character who might be the star of their next story. The activities used in this workshop are those Katrina uses in her own writing.
This workshop is recommended for children aged 8–12.
Please meet for this workshop at The Gallery Room, Ground floor, Mitchell Building.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer, and everyone requires a ticket.
Katrina Nannestad is an award-winning author of children's literature, loved for her historical fiction and adventure series such as The Girl, the Dog and the Writer; We are Wolves; and Rabbit, Soldier, Angel, Thief. Her book Silver Linings won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children's Literature in 2025.
