CreaTeME Studentteam invites you to an inspiring event with guitarist and composer Hedvig Mollestad on Friday, 27 November, starting at 9:30 am.The event brings students together with a performing artist to explore artistic development, composition, and the path towards a professional career. Through conversation and shared experiences, we will discuss how musical ideas emerge and develop, how to find your own artistic expression, and how to build a career around it.
We want to create a space for open conversations about artistic identity, the practical aspects of an artist’s life, and the challenges of balancing performance pressure, uncertainty, and workload while taking care of your health and creativity. The aim is to share experiences, inspire one another, and reflect on the opportunities and challenges of building a life as an independent artist.
Workshop
Through a musical exchange of ideas, we will explore how to develop your own sound and artistic expression. Using students’ projects, sketches, or musical ideas as a starting point, we will have an open discussion about riffs, dynamics, improvisation, phrasing, and the use of effects. The aim is to share experiences, explore different approaches to music, and gain new perspectives on our own musical practice. Students are encouraged to bring their instruments or audio files to serve as a starting point for the discussion.
Registration is required. The artist talk will be in Norwegian.
