CREATE & UNWIND: AUTUMNNature-inspired clay workshop
What if your next piece of artwork began with a walk? 🌿🍂
Step away from the busy-ness of everyday life and spend a little time slowing down, noticing and creating in nature.
Join Joanna from Mini Nature Artists for a gentle autumn creative experience at the Mini Nature Artists Garden, beginning with a relaxed walk around the Landshare to gather inspiration from the changing season.
We'll take time to notice the colours, textures, shapes and tiny details around us - perhaps a beautiful leaf, an unusual seed head, the pattern in a piece of bark or something you simply wouldn't normally have stopped to look at.
You might collect a few small naturally fallen treasures to inspire your artwork, or simply take photographs and sketches to remember something that caught your eye.
We'll then return to the garden and use our discoveries as inspiration for a piece of clay artwork.
You'll be invited to create your own nature-inspired clay tiles, using the textures, patterns and shapes you've discovered during your walk. You might press leaves and seed heads into the clay, recreate a pattern you've noticed, or simply allow your observations to spark something completely different.
This is about slowing down, experimenting with clay and enjoying the process of making - giving yourself permission to play, explore and create something that is uniquely yours.

Whether you are completely new to clay or simply looking for a different way to spend a couple of hours, you're very welcome.
Please note: The outdoor element is weather permitting. If the weather isn't suitable for a walk, we'll bring the natural world into the garden and work from a selection of seasonal natural materials and photographs instead.
Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for walking on natural ground. You may wish to bring a waterproof layer depending on the weather.
Come as you are. Slow down. Notice something new. Make something of your own. 🌿
