Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part scavenger hunt! All you need is a bicycle, a lock and a bag. This event is FREE to participate but you’ll need $15-$20 to purchase food that is then donated to support Meals on Wheels West Michigan. Raffle ticket sales at the event and cash donations will be accepted toward this great cause too.Pedal the streets and trails of Grand Rapids as you search for specific items on their requested donation list. Once you've collected items from each checkpoint and arrived at the finish, the donations will be collected at GRBC Fulton shop, and then handed over to MOWWM.
Cranksgiving is a national event that occurs in over 100 cities across the United States and Canada. Organized by Grand Rapids Bicycle Company
ALLEY CAT RACE/SCAVENGER HUNT:
Registration begins 2pm
RACE officially STARTS: 3pm
Roughly 2 hours of combined ride/shopping time plus waiting for your friends to finish - bring your coat
5-7 grocery store checkpoints

What is needed:
Bike, a lock (to keep bike safe while in stores) and a way to carry all your donated items to the finish.
FAMILY & BEGINNER FRIENDLY COMMUNITY RIDE DETAILS:
Community Ride Starts: 3:15
Roughly 30/45 minutes of ride/shopping time
For those looking to participate with their whole family, or anyone not feeling up to the whole race, we will have a casual and family friendly group ride from our shop, through the neighborhood to the Family Fare on Fulton and back to the shop. Items from the donation request list can be bought at family fare and dropped off right at GRBC next door; a good way to join in the fun and make a donation. This will take place during the race, so those looking to participate without the commitment of racing, we encourage you to join!
PRIZES!!!
-Each participant earns one raffle ticket for completing either the alleycat or family friendly community ride.
-Winner earns 3 additional raffle tickets, 2nd 2, 3rd 1 additional ticket.
-Most donated earns 3 additional raffle tickets.
