About this Event
Black Cat Zine Club is proud to announce a brand-new offshoot craft club, Crafty Cat’s Workshop, on the first Tuesday of each month!
We launched in October with a cute workshop making witchy charm jewellery, and everyone who attended made gorgeous bespoke treasures to take home.
Every month, a brand-new craft workshop with all materials included for a fiver, at Smithdown’s friendliest bar, the Black Cat.
In November, we are making textiles and mixed media mini collages which we will attach to a kilt-style safety pin to transform into wearable art.
There will be a range of fabrics including linens, wool and velvet, as well as decorative ribbons, buttons, beads and charms for you to embellish your collage.
Experienced stitchers may want to add embroidered details, but even if your sewing skills are very much in the "beginner" category, you will be able to create layers and textures with stamps, fabric glue and trims.
The club is designed to be welcoming, adaptable dependent on your level of experience, and focussed on building community – not profit.
Tickets are £5 per person, and numbers are capped so we have space to craft, chat and breathe!
Your host, Laura, delivers these workshops on a voluntary basis but a ticket (which includes the eventbrite ticketing fees) is £5 and will cover all tools and materials. Just bring yourself, your imagination and some money for a drink or two at the bar.
Hope to see you at the workshop on 3rd November 7-9pm!
