About
Clackamas Arts Alliance is the voice for Clackamas County arts and culture, serving the communities of Clackamas County from the banks of the Willamette River to the slopes of Mount Hood, and advocating for arts and culture in regional, county, and city planning. Founded in 1994, and incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2003, we are the chief resource for seven municipal arts commissions, four guilds, 13 libraries, 35 museums, and hundreds of artists, writers, performers, creative entrepreneurs, businesses, and educators. We are the fiscal agent for the Clackamas County Cultural Coalition, which distributes Oregon Cultural Trust funds to more than 75 local arts, history, heritage, humanities organizations, and cultural creatives. We nurture local artists and creatives – and encourage network building – by providing connections with training, performance and exhibitionopportunities, and commerce channels. Our Artists Exhibition Program, local arts festivals, and other creative activities connect the public with cultural enrichment and showcase local artists and arts organizations. We maintain a robust calendar of activities, experiences, and opportunities for everyone in the public to enjoy, creating pathways for all comers to access and participate in arts and cultural activities. This includes Aloha, Banks, Beaverton, Bethany, Cedar Mill, Cornelius, Durham, Forest Grove, Gaston, Hillsboro, King City, North Plains, Sherwood, Tigard and Tualatin.
TVC is an organization driven by advocacy and action. Originally founded in 1999 as the “Westside Cultural Alliance” by a group of art advocates, it gained its status as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit shortly after. Since then, it continues to support community members by providing the latest news about local events, funding resources, professional development and economic opportunities. TVC also strives to make arts and culture accessible to its under-served populations by offering free networking events, workshops and the Arts & Culture Leadership Incubator. Through these efforts, TVC continues to uplift its vision of cultivating a robust arts and culture ecosystem in Washington County.
