Webinar Description:
Are you an early childhood professional looking to bolster your child’s social skills or an early childhood educator who is searching for ways to naturally incorporate social-emotional skill development through play? If so, then the “Fostering Social Skills Through Play” training will hit the mark for you! This webinar will uncover the critical role play has in the development of social skills and detail easy to use skills and strategies that can be utilized within your home or classroom immediately.

Participants will learn about the key social skills every child must learn to become confident in any social or play setting. Educators will learn how to introduce each key skill to their child or group and the sequence that has proven to produce results. Once the key social skills are established, Trevor will dive into the best practices and manipulatives he uses daily to encourage and develop the play skills of the preschoolers in his classroom. Like a tower each social skill builds on the previous skill and Trevor will hand you the map to take your children to the top!

Objectives:
The participants will be able to…

1. Describe how different play activities lead to different aspects of social skill development.
2. Identify key social skills every child needs to experience play success.
3. Identify play-based strategies to reinforce social skills and establish a learning environment that fosters social development.
