About this Event
Come gather to craft a vulva on canvas.
You’re invited to an open-house, drop-in community art moment curated by Nidia Del Mar - The ClitOracle.
“Cummunity Cunts” is an art installation that will be displayed at The Vibe Haus for Austin Studio Tours (11/14-15 & 11/21-22). And will be used as the backdrop for The ClitOracle's Cumming Out Party - The Hard Launch - in February 2027.
This installation is a celebration of vulvar diversity, told through visual art. As you create, you’ll shape a unique piece with a chosen mix of mediums that calls to you. It’ll be your hands, your imagination, your way of making.
We’ll provide a small 5x7 canvas and glue for you to build your vulva. We will have an array of materials to choose from, such as beads, feathers, greenery and much more. Or, bring your own materials and birth something that is entirely yours. Let the textures and colors you love become a guide for you. And just like each and every vulva, allow it to be one of a kind, beautiful, and natural.
Join when you can, craft at your own pace, and when it’s done, add your piece to the community installation.
After November 29th, you will be able to pick up and keep your piece if you so choose or leave it at the Vibe Haus as part of their semi-permanent exhibit. The Art Gallery is curated by the local art collective Bring Back the Weird.
This is a free event however donations are accepted with gratitude to continue to support my community art projects. You can donate here: https://venmo.com/u/TheClitOracle
