Ever held back from starting a conversation? Had something to say in a group but hesitated to speak up? Or struggled to hold your ground when a situation did not go your way?
These are situations we often face, but we do not always step in because we lack confidence in ourselves.
That is where Crack Your Confidence comes in. It is a weekly, post-office hours, interactive class designed to help you build confidence through practice.
Through improv and theatre exercises, conversation games, and role plays, you will step outside your comfort zone in a supportive environment. You will get to experiment, make mistakes, try again, and gradually become more comfortable expressing yourself.
You will also learn simple, research-informed techniques to understand what holds you back and approach challenging interactions with greater confidence.
Each 90-minute class covers a different topic:
Conversations: Start conversations, keep them flowing, express your thoughts, and stop second-guessing every word.
Meetings, presentations and group settings: Speak up, share your ideas, contribute to discussions, and feel more comfortable when attention is on you.
Everyday interactions: Hold your ground and navigate uncomfortable social situations without automatically backing down.
What makes these classes different?
This is not a lecture where you sit and take notes. You will actively participate in exercises designed to help you practise the very skills you want to develop.
There will be opportunities to experiment, play, challenge yourself, and learn alongside others. Each class is designed to help you build confidence, one step at a time.
