From our first breath to our last, kindness, warmth, and compassion help us navigate life’s challenges. Backed by over a decade of research, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) has been shown to improve emotional wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and even benefit physical health.
In this 4-day training, yoga teachers and mental health professionals will learn how to combine ancient meditation techniques, compassionate breathwork, and yoga postures to create lasting change in both brain and body. These practices—rooted in Buddhist and yogic traditions—offer powerful tools for managing anger, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
You’ll explore compassion as a flow: giving it to others, receiving it, and extending it to yourself. The training also covers compassion-focused counselling skills that protect therapists from burnout while deepening their capacity to offer mindful, present-moment care.
By the end, you’ll have practical techniques to foster compassionate mental states, strengthen self-identity, and bring an evolutionary framework to mental health support.
Next intake: Friday 13 – Monday 16 November 2026, 9:00am–5:00pm (AEST).
Available face-to-face or online, with recordings accessible anytime.
The formal application process applies to all students
