Have You Faced Major Health Issues While Also Dealing With Money or Housing Worries?
Join Us to Help Shape Better Support for Patients in Haringey
The Haringey Community Food Network (HCFN), in partnership with UCL, is hosting a special community conversation to better understand the challenges people face when going through major health problems at the same time as financial stress.
This 2.5‑hour session is part of an important project aimed at improving how the healthcare system supports patients before, during, and after major surgery or serious medical treatment.
Who We’re Looking For 15 people
You may be a good fit if you have experienced any of the following:
- Low income, unemployment, or reliance on benefits
- Caring responsibilities
- Limited access to opportunity where you live
- Challenges completing your education
- Housing difficulties or instability
- Any other form of social or financial challenges
⭐ What the Workshop Is About
During the session, we will explore:
- Your experiences of financial or social challenges
- How these challenges may have affected your health
- If you’ve had surgery: the support offered before and after the operation
- Your ideas on what would help future patients recover more quickly and fully
Your insight will help us co‑design support packages as part of the wider project:
“Co-design of candidate interventions for HIPPOCRATES: Health Inequalities in PerioPerative Outcomes – CreATing and Evaluating targeted Support interventions.”
This study is led by a research team at University College London (UCL).
